SUMMER MAINTENANCE
 

Every Week You Should:

1. Test pool water with AQUACHEK® Chlorine test strips.
2. Check and fill automatic chlorinator OR skimmer baskets with chlorine if   
    needed.
3. Brush down pool walls with pool brush and skim surfaces with a skimmer.
4. Clean water line ring on liner with PROTEAM TILE AND VINYL CLEANER® .
5. Vacuum the pool if needed OR just throw in your automatic vacuum cleaner!
6. Check, backwash, and clean filter with PROTEAM FILTER MAGIC® as needed. 
    Depends on the type of filter you own and the cleanliness of you pool.

1. Shock the pool with PROTEAM POWER MAGIC® or CRYSTAL SHOCK.
    1 bag per 10,000 gallons. Remember, wait 12 hours to swim. (Most people 
    shock in the evening). If pool is green or cloudy, DOUBLE shock the pool.
    If you have a lot of people swimming, you may want to shock the pool weekly!
2. 12 hours after shocking the pool, add PROTEAM PREVENT® Algaecide to the 
    water.  2 ounces per 5,000 gallons. You can swim right after adding algaecide.

Have your water analyzed for FREE at POOLMART & SPAS to ensure all of your
levels are where they need to be. Our certified Water Lab Technicians will perform
up to 10 chemical tests on your pool water. Your test strips and test kits only test 3
components of your water, which is good for weekly checks.
